Im hosting my first upscale cocktail party but kinda lost of what to serve for drinks. I want to serve something fun and on trend. Im hiring a bartender but don’t want to buy a million things or have a ton of leftover booze.

Im thinking a couple signature cocktails (one with bourbon for sure), a fun NA option, champagne, and a variety of beers. Unsure about wine. No shots, margs, or truly/canned seltzers.

Im not in the alcohol scene. What alcohol do 40 something people drink these days? Do people still drink wine? Ive heard red wine is tending out. Any advice, recommendations, or drinks that are a big hit?
