PC/NA (West) Looking for a consistent full stack to push Plat with.

looking for a consistent full stack to push to Plat with. I’m tired of soloqing.

I’m currently Gold 5, 1.2kd. I was Diamond in ranked 1.0 and played up to Plat 2 during 2.0. Been playing since 2016.

It would be nice to find some people who play somewhat consistently, know the maps, strats and give good comms.

Feedback after playing 80 ranked games this season.

I’ve been playing this game since 2016. I have taken short breaks here and there but even after coming back, my gameplay remained the same.

I’ve played on both Xbox and PC, though I’ve only been playing on PC for the past few years.

During ranked 1.0 I was a consistent high plat and even diamond, when there were no other ranks besides plat and diamond. It was a slow, time consuming grind to get 4500+ elo and reach diamond. But it was possible.

During ranked 2.0 I only soloqueued and that’s what I still do. But I was still able to get plat 3 pretty easily when I had some time to play.

However, after 80 ranked games this season, I am the exact same rank I was when I started. Absolutely nothing has changed.

The 5 placement games are first of all a horrible indication of where someone should start. It’s just not enough games to determine what your rank should be. Especially when you’re playing with people who have never even been gold.

After my 5 placement games, I had 2 wins and 3 losses. Coming from Plat 3, I was placed in Silver 2. And I played well in those games even though I lost.

Now I’m playing with people who don’t know strats, don’t use coms, don’t know the maps and simply can not aim. If coms are being used, it’s exclusively for toxicity. When I play defense vertically, they are impressed and say they’ve never seen this before.

Yet even when I’m getting 10-14 kill games, I lose. For every win, I gain 20 elo. For every loss, I lose 25 elo. For every loss I’m forced to make up for by winning 2 games.

My skill level and experience is clearly above the majority of the people I play with and against. Yet I can’t move up because even if I carry, I can’t consistently win. And with every loss, I’m punished more severely.

What’s annoying is that even if I would have placed in plat, or gold, etc after the 5 placement games, I recon I would have stayed the same rank I started with.

It is by far the most unrewarding ranked system I have ever seen in any video game. Ever. I don’t mind ranked 3.0 and how it works, but what’s being taken into account in terms of your rank being affected at the moment is simply not enough.

It would take me around 30 wins in a row to reach plat 5 from silver 2. At this point it’s meaningless and pointless to have as many ranks as we have in the game.

If they want to keep this system in place, increase placement games to 10, give extra elo for high kill games even if you lose (instead of losing 25 elo, for 10 kills you only lose 15), balance the amount of elo you gain for a win and the amount you lose for a loss and honestly get rid of emerald and diamond at this rate entirely or cut each rank down to 3 ranks total. Like emerald 3 to emerald 1.

Are lifting shoes worth it?

I’ve been thinking about picking up some lifting shoes for leg day. I know they will help with all the different squat variations, but are they wearable for other exercises too?

Will I be able to do calf raises with them on my feet, or are they so stiff that I won’t be able to use them for much else other than squats?

I don’t have the best ankle mobility in my left ankle due to an older injury, so it would be nice to get the heel support these shoes offer too, but I don’t want to be changing my shoes at the gym going from one exercise to the other.

Is it worth spending like $80-$100 on a pair?
