I need to install new locks and add a lock for the basement. I want one key for everything. I know how to disassemble and re pin a lock but I am curious about the kwikset locks and there instant rekeying system.

So my question is how much of a security risk is it to install these locks. How easy would it be for someone to just buy the reset kit and then get through the door?

It was said they were secretly distributism to shops that sold vinyl but I have never seen one actually turn up.
