Hair is always ruined by sleep!

I believe my hair is 2b/2c and I find that no matter how I try and sleep my pattern is ruined by the morning. I’ve tried both a bonnet and a silk scarf, my hair doesn’t like going into a pineapple, and i’ve tried leaving the cast in and scrunching it out.

My current routine is:
Garnier Colour protect shampoo and curly shampoo,
Garnier Colour protect conditioner and then brushed in shower,
OGX Bond protein repair mist,
Brush styling with Umberto Giannini Mousse and Gel both scrunched in followed by being diffused.

I find that my hair looks lovely when dried and especially once the cast has been scrunched out but as soon as i sleep the pattern is disrupted and frizzy :/ Any advice would be appreciated - i’ve attached photos of my hair on better hair days and one wet.

Cried after phoning in sick

I rung in sick this morning due to developing tonsillitis after 9 days with a sore throat. I’d developed a fever, severely swollen tonsils and neck pain. Now this particular day we were already shortstaffed so i did feel bad for not feeling well enough. I was supposed to be on a 7:30-6, due to having an unqualified member of staff who isn’t allowed to be on the early or late shifts. I had expressed frustrations at this shift purely due to the fact it was down to this unqualified staff member being in my room constantly, who for better words isn’t performing in her job role.

The response i received from my manager was that they were expecting me to call in sick due to having such a long day which they knew i wasn’t happy about, and that they’re sorry if that comes across an unsympathetic. I was absolutely shocked by this. Admittedly I have a poor immune system and have had a few instances of illness so far this year but they have never brought up my absences as a problem. It left me in tears to be spoken to in such a way, out of the blue. I already felt awful calling in sick, felt awful from the infection itself and then was made to feel even worse. Just for further context, i was supposed to be at a gig for my favourite band the night before with some friends from work but ended up cancelling due to feeling rough and hoping an early night would leave me feeling well enough for the following day at work.

Guess I just want to know if i’m being silly or not by being so upset over the situation? It’s made me want to look at other jobs.
