i thrifted multiple of these knitted rectangles (short scarves?) to unravel and use as yarn for my crochet projects. i’ve successfully unravelled one of them completely but with a lot of difficulty. in crochet, i usually just find the slip stitch, untie it and then pull the yarn so it unravels easily, but this simply isnt cooperating with me.

just wondering where to start when unravelling because ive watched multiple tutorials but most of them use sweaters as examples and this is obviously not a sweater. any tips would be helpful, thanks!
