Cadet Correspondents, what editing apps are we using?

I‘ve recently been viewing a lot of Vernon CTC and Blackdown CTC reels and I really like the quality the reels have.

As a Cadet Correspondent myself, I’ve been using CapCut for personal use a lot, but I’ve found that the quality has been diminishing ever since the dumb CapCut Premium feature came out.

So what video editing apps are we using? Are they similar to CapCut or different?

I have a question 👀

So I was like just like wondering a few questions about my boots. If anyone who’s good at boots could answer my questions I would really appreciate the help.

  1. Should I beeswax the soft parts of my boots?
It’s really hard to polish the side and the top of my toes because it’s too soft so the polish will not polish like my toes do. So should I get beeswax for my soft toes and sides.

  2. How do I get a really good mirror shine to the point where I can see colours?
I’ve always admired the fact that when people polish their boots and go outside when the sky is blue, that their toes reflect the blue of the sky. So I was wondering how do I get to that level of toe shine.

  3. How do people people polish their tongue of the boot?
I notice when people have shiny boots their tongues are also really shiny and I was wondering if they actually polish it since the tongue of the boot is really soft so it must be pretty hard to polish the tongue.

  4. What can Improve in on my boot polishing?
Surprisingly, I’ve somehow gotten compliments on my polishing because my toes have a “mirror shine” but I don’t know if it’s because they’re actually good or people just suck at polishing. So if anyone has any secret tips they have I’d appreciate it

Ok thanks guys, I hope I have shiny boots after this and I appreciate people who are willing to help me

(P.S these are the only good photos I have of my boots and the photo with the grey fluffy carpet is an old photo so don’t mind if it looks worse then the one on the toilet)

Story time on how our division got brutally slimed

(DISCLAIMER: I don’t have the best memory of camp since my memory only started working at the second week of camp for some odd reason, and this isn’t a diss to anyone, I just thought this was a funny memory to share from camp.)

A few weeks ago, I was at a CTC as a course cadet . I was in this division and we were all pretty close together like siblings. (I miss them a lot) We also had this flight sergeant who was pretty funny but could also be serious when needed.

(BACKSTORY) I had a friend in my division who we’ll call Eyebrow. Eyebrow had shaved her eyebrows off so that they would fit her makeup style but when camp came around, her mom wouldn’t let her bring any makeup. So like the good friend I am, when I went off base, I bought some black eyeliner so she could have her eyebrows back. Me and a couple of my friends had a fun time using her as a canvas.

Anyways, one day, Eyebrow was put on bed rest and WE all thought it would be a funny idea to draw dramatically thick angry eyebrows on her to scare ops when they would check on her.

Fast forward to after supper, I can’t remember why but our flight sergeant was in a really bad mood and they marched us back to the barracks to get changed into PT for rec since we were all boiling in our FTUs and STUs.

Anyway, we were in the barracks getting changed. (Important information for later: my barracks were right outside where our division falls in) Us females were really happy to see Eyebrow after a long day of broiling. After we all got changed, we all fell in and there was a couple male cadets running into division because they were late which made our flight sergeant even more upset.

Our flight sergeant started scolding us on how we could’ve slipped and fell and cracked our heads on the slippery pavement which I don’t blame them for getting upset at us. Except, right at that moment, Eyebrow came out of the barracks.

She looked at us silently, smiled, and proceeded to wave at us, not realizing we were getting absolutely SHREDDED and making it worse. Keep in mind, none of the male cadets had seen her eyebrows yet. So naturally, we all started laughing.

Of course, our flight sergeant was facing our division and didn’t realize eyebrow was behind us which made the situation 100000X worse because they thought we were laughing at them. This made their blood absolutely BOIL. “DO YOU THINK THIS IS FUNNY COURSE CADETS?! AM I LAUGHING?! AM I SMILING” shrieking out of their throat in PURE RAGE AND AGONY. Eyebrows smile faded and she slowly backed back into the barracks while we were being absolutely slimed.

Anyway I can’t remember what happened after but if my flight sergeant is seeing this. We were not laughing at you, sorry

Barrack standards (QCTC Vs. VCTC)

I’m not quite sure if this is a course or CTC difference since I went to ITDC, but is it just me or I feel like barrack standards at Quadra are not as checked/strict as Vernon. I remember a Vernon j would easily get notes for the slightest things ever such as the window and locker having a speck of dust or my pillow facing the wrong way but it seems that at Quadra, standards are less strict or just not checked enough.
