Please help I'm actually losing it

Last year I got my itm ctc badge but I misplaced it and found it recently and I also just completed dci so now I have two ctc badges but the images online aren't helpful at all on where they go.

Is this where they go? This was after looking at the images on Google, my seniors are MIA

Returning uniform illegal?

Hypothetically, what kind of trouble could i get in if I don’t return my uniform. I’m not planning on going back to cadets next year and i was going to just pretend i forgot to return it but they just reminded me to do so👀

im the cadet no one wants to talk to :(

as you can see in the photo, no one wanted to sit with me. thats not what im bothered about because i like having my legs up while listening to music.

anyways i feel really shitty because i have to spend a week with these people and i really didnt want to come because i have no friends and no social skills. i feel as though no one in my detachment even likes me because every week i just sit on my own and no one has ever even tried to speak to me.

im so sick of always being left out. ive tried pushing myself into different groups, ive tried being overly nice, ive even tried offering everyone sweets and stuff just so they like me. im just so lonely every camp and im done with it, im sick of seeing everyone but me with their own little group.

my friendlessness has even caused a major setback in my progress - ive been in the acf since 2021 and still not got my lance corporal yet because apparently they 'need ncos the cadets will listen to'.

this makes me feel like just because no one wants to be friends with me, im not good enough to progress.

another thing i think catches everyone out is the fact i have tourettes and they think its weird or something? idk, i always get stared at which makes me tic more and i think they find it amusing.

does anyone have any tips on how to make them like me? if not, it doesnt matter because im probably going to quit next week anyway.

thanks for reading 🩷

Cadet Correspondents, what editing apps are we using?

I‘ve recently been viewing a lot of Vernon CTC and Blackdown CTC reels and I really like the quality the reels have.

As a Cadet Correspondent myself, I’ve been using CapCut for personal use a lot, but I’ve found that the quality has been diminishing ever since the dumb CapCut Premium feature came out.

So what video editing apps are we using? Are they similar to CapCut or different?

VCTC Cease Training Due to Air Quality

Everyones going home!

"Due to the air quality surrounding Vernon Cadet Training Centre (CTC), we have made the decision to cease all training for the remainder of the summer. This decision was made because the health and safety of our cadets and staff is our highest priority.

Our team is currently focused on managing the logistics of getting the cadets and staff safely back to their homes across Canada in the next few days. Here is what you need to know right now:

Current Status & Next Steps

Everyone is Safe: All cadets and staff have been following recommendations of provincial authorities with respect to mitigating the impacts of poor air quality by staying indoors as much as possible and utilizing N95 masks as needed.

Incoming Updates: Travel logistics can shift quickly, we will communicate specific details regarding travel itineraries, arrival times, and pick up locations as soon as they are finalized and available.

Out of Province Cadets: Travel plans for cadets and staff that are outside of British Columbia will be managed by their respective regional staff at their Regional Cadet Support Units.

Parental Pick Ups (PPUs): For those parents/guardians who are scheduled to pick up their cadet at Vernon CTC or who wish to change their previous travel plans to now pick up their cadet from Vernon CTC, please contact the Operations number at 250-549-5850.

Course Completion Details: Cadets that are unable to complete their training this summer will be assessed to determine which portions need to be completed to obtain qualifications or certificates. If it is possible to augment this training during the regular training year, updates will be communicated via your corps/squadron staff.

We ask for your patience and understanding as we focus on coordinating these logistics. Parents and guardians will be kept informed as concrete information becomes available.

Please note, the cease training is only affecting Vernon Cadet Training Centre and none of the other CTCs across Canada."

All Time Map of Cadet Training Centres

I took the time a few months ago to make a map of CTCs and reopened it a few days ago. Inside the Google Earth link are placement points to every cadet training centre (all time) I could think of. This includes many long forgotten CTCs such as Cap-Chat (Removed in 2005), Cadet Camp Patricia Bay (c. 1944) and more. I am open to suggestions for what to do add as well as tips on corrections.

Quickest way to corporal

Salutations, I joined cadets in September 2025, what is the quickest way I can reach corporal, I'm aware it's a certain amount of time in the program/corps, but how can I better myself to be recognized and referred for promotion?

How do I polish my boots

I'm able to polish the toe and heel of my boots but when I try to polish anywhere else it flakes off or gives me boot cancer. I'm pretty sure these are gen 4 boots if that affects anything. I use kiwi for base coats and Saphir mirror gloss for the mirror shine.

What to expect for specifically sports and fitness cold lake? [Help]

(My First ctc)

My main question is what my luggage should look like (taking WestJet).
At the moment I have a checking bag (suitcase) and a carry on (small backpack) both of which matching WestJet regulations
The kit list showed a backpack so I assumed as much
is that okay or do I need to minimize to one bag?

I’d like this info so I don’t look silly at the airport

Next I was wondering what the sleeping arrangements will look like because I’m assuming barracks but would love to hear if it wheee something different.

Not as necessary to know, but I’d also just like to learn what the usual day would be like. hence why I’m asking about the (intro to) sports and fitness course

Thanks
