Avoid Embody

Everyone do yourselves a favor and DO NOT sign up for Embody. Yes it’s not a “scam” but their customer service is absolutely terrible if you run into any issues. I received the incorrect dosage and ive reached out to customer service many times AND spoken to providers again…yet each time I reach out to check in if they’re resolving it…the agent does not know what’s going on and each time i have to explain the situation and then they “escalate the issue” AGAIN. It’s truly a very frustrating experience and I’m actually just going to go ahead and cancel and dispute my recent payment.

Anyone have recommendations for other companies?

Tulum areas to stay in

Going to Tulum in December. Would you guys say that Irie Tulum and Luz De Luna Tulum Villa II are in good areas to stay in? Also, some of my friends are worried about safety…is it generally safe to be there as long as we practice normal safety precautions that we need to anywhere else we go anyways?

Reasonable Accommodation Process Before Start Date?

Hi everyone,

I’ve accepted and signed a tentative/final offer for a position within HHS and have a start date scheduled, but I have not officially started yet.

I have a medical condition that may require a reasonable accommodation, and I’m trying to figure out the best way to approach the process. For those who have gone through the RA process at HHS (or supervised employees who have), would you recommend initiating the request before my start date or waiting until after I begin?

I’m also unsure who the appropriate first point of contact would be. Should I reach out to my future supervisor, HR, or an accommodations/disability program office directly?

My concern is that the accommodation may affect my work schedule and/or telework arrangements, so I’d like to get the process moving if it typically takes a while, but I also don’t want to get ahead of myself if requests are generally handled after onboarding.

Any insight on timelines, what documentation was required, or how the process typically works would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you!

RA CMS

What are my chances of getting a RA for telework/hybrid work approved for medical reasons as a new employee?
