Looking for an Experienced YouTube Video Editor (Commentary / Talking Head Style)

Looking for an Experienced YouTube Video Editor (Commentary / Talking Head Style)

Hey! I’m starting a new YouTube commentary channel focused on:

  • forbidden places
  • interesting things around the world
  • internet rabbit holes
  • conspiracy theories
  • weird history/culture
  • ghost towns, mysteries, futuristic cities, bizarre laws, etc.

The overall vibe I'm going for is:

  • conversational/casual but focused on curiosity/mystery
  • funny/sarcastic at times
  • more “late night rabbit hole with friends” than polished video essay narration
  • a kind of casual commentary/penguinz0 vibe, but with the subject matter of Luke Caverns, Wendigoon, Weird Poi, etc.

I’m looking for an experienced editor experienced in this style of YouTube content who can:

  • keep strong pacing/retention
  • cut dead air and bad takes
  • source engaging B-roll/archival footage
  • preserve personality/authenticity
  • create captivating hooks/intros
  • perform basic audio editing (removing breaths/background noise, etc.)
  • create entertaining edits without the MrBeast super over edited brainrot style

Style references:

Requirements:

  • 3+ years of editing experience
  • experience editing commentary / video essay adjacent YouTube content
  • preferably worked with medium-to-large creators OR can showcase videos they edited that reached at least ~50k+ views

Budget:
~$150–225 USD per video depending on experience, quality, length of video, etc.

If interested, please send me a DM with:

  • portfolio/examples
  • channels/videos you’ve edited for
  • your Discord/contact info

For the first video, I’d ideally like to see a sample edit of the first 1-2 minutes before moving forward with the full paid edit.

If it’s a good fit, I’d love to work together long-term! 😄

Looking for a YouTube Thumbnail Designer (Commentary / Curiosity / World Exploration Style)

Hey! I’m starting a new YouTube commentary channel focused on:

  • forbidden/abandoned places
  • interesting locations/cultures around the world
  • internet rabbit holes
  • mysteries/conspiracies
  • weird history/culture
  • interesting and unsettling places/topics

I’m looking for a thumbnail designer who understands modern YouTube CTR and curiosity-driven packaging, but WITHOUT the super over edited MrBeast/TikTok style thumbnails.

The vibe I’m going for is:

  • curiosity-driven
  • atmospheric
  • clean and cinematic
  • mysterious/intriguing when appropriate
  • grounded and authentic
  • visually interesting without feeling fake or over processed with AI

I looking for someone who understands:

  • visual hierarchy
  • curiosity gaps
  • strong focal points
  • commentary-style YouTube packaging
  • how to make people click through intrigue and atmosphere instead of overload

Examples of the overall vibes/styles I like:

Budget:
~$50 per thumbnail depending on quality/experience.

If interested, please send:

  • portfolio/examples
  • YouTube thumbnails you’ve made specifically
  • any creators/channels you’ve worked with
  • your Discord/contact info

For the first video, I’d ideally like to see a watermarked sample/concept first before moving forward with the final paid thumbnail. If it’s a good fit, I’d love to work together long-term.
