Found a 40ish foot tall black walnut in Palos Verdes that was loaded with fruit. Grabbed about 15 to germinate and grow out. I have a happy specimen that I planted as a seedling a couple years ago, but the genetics in the tree I saw today looked special.
Los Angeles, bermuda grass. Previous owner left me this Tru cut H-25. It worked great initially but started jamming last year, so my gardener abandoned it in favor of his rotary mower. I didn’t like the quality of the cut, though, so I back lapped my mower and tried it again… but it’s pretty infuriating. Jams every few seconds. I have been laboriously reducing the height of my lawn hoping it will behave when the grass it’s cutting is a more manageable height… but I’m beginning to think it’s the mower, not just the grass. Anyone know what I can service to make it stop jamming?
