Kelly Messenger PM Ebene - Barenia Faubourg x Togo Leather
Hi all,
I am planning to acquire a Kelly Messenger PM, Palladium-Plated Hardware (upgraded), and contrasting white stitching.
I am currently debating whether I should get it in Barenia Faubourg or Togo Leather. Please help me to decide. A few points to consider.
- I am planning to get it with Mark
Barenia: Pros: I really like how it looks more buttery, soft, seems to have a better feel and more slouchy/ less structured. I tend to prefer items that have a patina, have a vintage look with years.
Cons: It’s $300 more expensive (not a problem given that total cost anyways), I am really afraid of what people say about staining/ scratching. I haven’t found an old Ebene BF so far to see how it ages, but given that it’s dark, I assume it can’t be that bad?
Togo: Pros: Heard it’s more resistant against scratches and stains, and better overall for a daily/travel bag. Also it rains a lot where I live. A few rain drops will be inevitable.
Cons: It looks more matte, dry and opaque. It also looks more structured. I prefer a more relaxed fit.
I saw the image above from realreal (BF) and I really like how it looks. I’d appreciate your comments and images of how’s your BF or Togo bags are holding up.
