monthly contact ruined after 3 hour wear
hi there, I've been using contacts for 6 years and this happened to me a week ago. I put on a new pair of contacts to go out for dinner and the morning after the left looked like this. I use alcon total 30, paired with a solution my optometrist recommended and which usually works fine, but it's been a week and the contact looks the same. I've tried cleaning it many times and i also changed the solution inside the case, but it's not getting better. Could it be that my eyes are the problem? Lately when I try to put on contacts (not the one in the photo) it feels like there is something scratching my right eye, always in the same spot, while the left eye feels like I'm wearing the lens inside out, though I'm not. I've stopped wearing contacts for a week now and I've been using some calming eye drops, but it doesn't seem to be getting better. My eyes look fine and I don't have any redness. Could it be that I scratched my cornea? What do you suggest?
EDIT: since a few of you asked, the solution I've been using is called "solo care aqua" by Menicon, it was specifically suggested by my optometrist and I've never had any issues with it.
