should I be concerned
2026 Honda civic hybrid
After 3 months owning it brand new and a couple minutes driving it, it started to beep (as in to put your seatbelt on) and displayed my rear right seat to having an unbuckled person detected there..
When I got home I just slammed the door shut and it worked for a bit but it comes back maybe once a week or more.
But now, it’s detecting that the ‘person’ in my back seat is actually buckled in, which isn’t possible because I’ve never even buckled that seat before
I never use the back seats, only driver and front passenger. my car is clean I don’t have anything heavy in the back.
TLDR: 2026 Honda Civic Hybrid every once in a while (weekly or biweekly) detects a person in rear right seat, either unbuckled or buckled. Opening and shutting door stops it for a couple days but returns again. Also shows up after a while driving.
Is this a cause for concern? What could be the issue?
