Anyone else fed up?

Anyone else fed up?

Anyone else tired of this nonsense? I’m not doing a double or even a triple for an extra 80p.

Not only can we not reject an order now that’s marked as ‘ready’ but they take 6 minutes to remove it and want you to explain why you don’t want it.

Surely this is increasing the work load of support and therefore costing them more?

Anyone ever dealt with this nonsense?

Customer was a very old woman whom someone else ordered for her. She didn’t have the code and wasn’t willing to ring the person that did order.

Deliveroo even say to continue with delivery and then contact support. Gave them the order and then called support.

When they called, the person then claimed they never received the order.

I’m then stuck in an infinite loop with support who refuse to mark as delivered stating customer hasn’t received the order.

Can’t even write off the order and continue working. Just stuck on the delivery page waiting to input a code.

Is this really the best system they have in place??

Extra £1 an order makes all the difference

Anyone else get the £2.20 extra per 2 deliveries?

Kind of sad the difference an extra £1 per order makes. In a similar vein, I wish customers knew the difference a £1 tip makes.

I really wish Roo would just pay fairly in the first instance, particularly for doubles.

Hourly earnings before expenses went from £22.79 to £27.93

Screenshot is the earnings before the extra incentive has been added.

Edit: it says 10 orders but it’s actually 14 - I hope they include doubles in the incentive

Loading and Unloading PCN

Anyone know the legalities on using a bay marked as loading and unloading only.

I used one and got a pcn. The guys issuing it refused to budge of course.

Anyone fought one and successfully won on the grounds of Deliveroo being commercial goods?

Lower Fees

Anyone else noticed drastically lower fees starting last week? Particularly for long distance orders.

I’m talking £5-6 for a 14 minute drive with no restaurants the other end.

Immediate reject. Circles back around and no higher

Rider respect charter

Does anyone actually have any partners that treat them with the respect we deserve?

99% work on the basis that we are guilty of stealing before they’ve even given the order over. Most with an accusatory tone before i’ve even had a chance to scan the order. One restaurant even reported me to Deliveroo for “being rude” as I told them I can’t mark it as collected unless they give me the order to scan.

Many restaurants outright ignore drivers or leave us waiting without even checking orders numbers are even ready.

There’s maybe two restaurants that are actually respectful in my zone. And even then the proposal that they might offer a drink while waiting is farfetched.

Is it just my zone or is everyone else treated poorly?

Hourly Wage

Curious what everyone’s hourly wage is BEFORE expenses? Since the general consensus is that it pays badly but I don’t tend to agree.

I average £25 to £30/hour on Fri, Sat, Sun 5pm to 9pm

Other evenings I average £20/hour 5pm to 9pm

Lunch times in my area are poor averaging about £15/hour so I refuse to work it.
