How reliably can I use the front bike rack on the #10 bus?
When I used the #1 for my daily commute, the bus regularly showed up with both bike rack spaces full and left me biking the whole way. It didn't take much longer, nor matter when I arrived at campus/work sweaty, so this wasn't a dealbreaker.
Now I work in a showerless office on the north end of Cameron Rd and live 4.5 away. A bus-only commute would mean either 2 transfers or walking 35 minutes each way, but there's a single bus option that would shave off enough sun+heat+hills to get me to work minimally drenched.
How often does the (north of downtown) #10 have full bike racks during rush hour?
Anything else I should know about that route? Any notable differences between the current CapMetro experience and the one I knew before 2008?
