KOTOR on Steam Deck

I'll preface this by saying I absolutely love KotoR and come back to the game at least once a year for a bit. I mainly play it on PC but would love to have it on Steam Deck. My only problem is that the game crashes quite a bit on the deck and I can't narrow down exactly why or what the fix is. Often times cutscenes seem to kill the game but also things like interacting with the work bench. Sometimes the game crashes when I'm just running around.

Is this something anyone else has faced?

Hey everyone, I swear I was able to install and play the Halo MCC a few years back but now nothing happens whenever I click or tap on Install.

The Available for Windows tag makes me think maybe it's not compatible on Steam Deck anymore. Am I missing something or is this working as intended?

Edit - Going into the game settings and forcing Proton experimental let me install the game like normal and solved the issue for me. Thanks for the input everyone!
