Service Desk - Basic Respect

Contractors swear in front of women, not in a mean way, but too casual. No one, besides girls really, hands me a receipt or a card. They just throw it down. I’ve started correcting some & saying how it’s impolite. I find it funny, sad & downright a dip in like- public respect, that people behave this way. Almost every transaction at the service desk is demeaning. Yet, we hold our customers to no standard. I want basic humanitarian respect. That’s it & I will correct them going forward. I’m just worried management will have an issue.

I’m so friendly and warm - usually personal, even as a stranger, I’m curious of the job they are doing. I do care, they are people & workers of my community. Why treat me like a dog, when you’re so happy to see me? I’m over it.

This is my PSA - mind your manners & be polite. It displays intelligence and mindfulness. Especially when we are perfect strangers. Thanks.
