“wego” simultaneous turn mechanics?

I’m developing the combat system for my game that will eventually be a 4x lite. It's built from the ground up around “wego” simultaneous turns. Instead of taking turns one by one, everyone issues orders for all their units at the same time, and then it plays out afterwards. This should mean online games with several players keeps moving fast, rather than everyone sitting around waiting for turns to happen one by one.

Conflicting orders are handled with no fastest clicker/internet advantage. If two units try to move into the same tile they both occupy it and "clash" the following turn.

There may be games out there with similar systems, but I haven’t personally played one. So I could use an outside perspective on whether this demo feels like it's heading in the right direction:
