When I was house hunting, I found myself jumping between different websites to collect information about each neighborhood. I wanted to make that process a little easier by putting things like crime, schools, property information, demographics, traffic safety, and more in one place. It’s still a work in progress, but I’ve come a long way with it. It works best in the DMV area for right now.

Hey all, I recently bought my 2026 GMC Sierra 1500 and I absolutely love it. Everything is perfect except for one thing… CarPlay. I’ve came across various threads talking about Wireless CarPlay but really no conclusion or permanent fixes if someone found the root problem. It just won’t connect.

Yes I’ve done the trick of holding down the hangup call button on the steering wheel for 20 seconds or so until the GMC logo comes back after the underlying android system boots back up. This basically fixes it 100% of the time… but only for about a day at most. The next day the problem of Wireless CarPlay comes back.

I’ve had a thought about taking my truck to the nearby dealership but I just don’t see them fixing this without some kind of firmware update. Speaking of firmware updates, I checked and don’t have any available - I’m on V654.20 which was released to my truck on June 23, 2026.
