How to pack comforter & blankets

My moving situation is a bit complicated. I'm from California & I'm going to school in Rhode Island in the fall. but, for summer, I am going to be at my family's in Washington. I'm using this as a bit of a base for some things. Since I'm flying & not driving, I have to be more strategic since I can't get or use just any size anything or use trash bags etc.

I'm looking to bring my comforter & a few regular blankets, not like those thick bed blankets but just regular ones if you know what mean.
The main reason I want to bring my comforter is so that I don't have to buy a whole new one - the minor aspect being that there is still no comforter in the guest bedroom & I don't think they plan on getting one since only a few guests visit, & I can just put this one away for me to use when I visit during summers once they hopefully do get one - but the major aspect being so that I don't have to buy a new one (for a house that is not my own & so they can choose what comforter to put in the guest room) on top of the other many expenses I'm incurring at the moment. (moving truck to bring nearby family furniture, flights, checking multiple suitcases/moving bags - which I'm also interested in hearing people's thoughts on this since I'm having to check multiple baggages due to moving via flying, I was looking at Lugless to get a couple suitcases/moving bags to my family's. Anyone have experience or suggestions?) In terms of expenses, this brings me to my question.

What do I get exactly to pack my comforter specifically? I'm looking at vacuum seal bags but I'm not sure what size to get because it doesn't seem like the jumbo vacuum seal bags with a comforter in it could fit in any size suitcase or a moving bag (I have Ticonn ones that are 27 long but I could get ones that are 28, 29, or 29.8 long since I was going to get more anyway). but it also doesn't seem like the comforter could fit into a smaller vacuum bag. Do I just put it in a box along with my other blankets & ship it somehow? Do I get the bigger moving bags & try to put it in there? or keep the Ticonn moving bags I have? & if so how do I put it in there, do I just fold it/roll it by itself or get what size vacuum bag?

I guess the issue is I'm trying to be mindful of how many moving bags or suitcases or boxes I have. I'm ideally trying to fit my comforter & the blankets together in whatever they fit in.
I still have to pack up some sweaters that I wanted to vacuum seal too but I just realized this is the same issue, the jumbo vacuum bags would be cool but then because they're jumbo I don't think they'd fit in a moving bag or suitcase anymore. so I'm not really sure what to do. the biggest vacuum seal bag I have right now is for regular clothes and it's for a size 28 suitcase (23.6 x 19.7). it definitely won't fit the sweaters unless I use a bunch & I doubt it'll fit the comforter, possibly the blankets but I don't think so

Help a non-trad pre-law student

Hi! I'm a non-trad transfer student trying to decide where to attend for the fall.
I was accepted to Brown through the RUE program & got in for International & Public Affairs, but might possibly switch to Political Science. (I also might add Theater or Anthro as a second concentration).
I was also accepted to Georgetown—though not SFS—for Justice & Peace Studies with an interest in the Law, Justice, and Society minor.
I was also considering Berkeley's Global Studies & the many interesting minors offered.

I was wondering what would be most helpful for a non-trad student trying to go to a T14 law school? (My tops are Yale/Harvard/Stanford/Columbia/Berkeley/Georgetown/Cornell, & I know these are tough, which is why I'm coming here to prepare as best I can.)
Either in terms of resources, support, opportunities, etc or any other advice from anyone including non-trads!
I'm also a first-gen, low-income student & my background is Indigenous/Latina.

I have a bit of a past is the thing. I briefly attended a CSU after graduating high school in 2018, with my transcript showing Fall 18-Fall 19 (mostly W's). My GPA's from HS & that first college were not great as I had a really rough upbringing. I unfortunately experienced quite a bit of adversity including at that first college, ranging from homelessness to financial insecurity and a traumatic incident. (though I'm hoping to get retroactive withdraw for the other grades that were supposed to turn in to W's). I was academically dismissed, but COVID also happened so I stepped away to support my family during the pandemic & worked multiple jobs to save money.
After moving & leaving an unstable situation, I was finally able to attend cc in fall 24! I maintained a 4.0 GPA the past 2 years while remaining involved in & out of school, & I'm so happy & grateful to have these options after working hard towards my goal of law school!

I also have a full ride, thankfully. (Brown is also need-aware in their transfer process, which made me even more shocked).
Now, I'm trying to make the best decision I can as I do really love many things about these schools, so I am open to all suggestions & advice. (I'm also hoping to get the best grades I can to make up for that very first college since I know my LSAC GPA might be different because of it, if I can't withdraw from everything. The GPA at that school is a low 2.X for reference)

Thank you so much for your help!

Berkeley, Brown RUE, Georgetown, or Columbia GS

California cc student majoring in Global Studies, would be doing something equivalent at these schools. potentially law school but if not, grad school

Some say Columbia is more prestigious or ranked higher, but apparently aid is not as generous compared to these other schools. Brown RUE is sometimes seen as the "better" non-trad program because it's not a separate school like Columbia GS. Meanwhile, Georgetown is highly ranked as well for the academic areas I'm interested in. & Berkeley is also highly ranked globally, which is a positive.

I love many things about each school but would be interested in outside opinions, thank you!

Berkeley vs Brown vs Georgetown for transfer

Berkeley Global Studies, Brown (RUE admit) either International & Public Affairs or Political Science, & Georgetown JUPS (Justice & Peace Studies, I know it's not SFS but was close enough for me!)

I'm also non-trad & cost isn't a factor! (I'm poor so I get a full ride & I'm very grateful)
I really really love all three so I'm open to any opinions!
Interested in law school as well (but might have to shelve that depending on other circumstances & just do grad school)

Purely as schools themselves foremost. I know Brown is Ivy League but Berkeley is also renowned globally.

I'm asking about the schools themselves because that's what people have been mainly talking to me about, so I want to see what the consensus is regarding just the schools specifically because I think they're both really good schools!

Obviously my choice will be based on things much bigger than that and this is not what I'm asking. I'm just genuinely curious if I am the odd one out for liking both Berkeley and Brown (RUE) as equal potential options as schools themselves (I am also first-gen, so I feel like that plays a part in people/family around me solely focusing on Brown — which I am of course super grateful for!)
Don't mean to come off as rude or insensitive, I think I'm just still in shock 😭

After everything I have gone through, I'm just so in shock & can't believe this happened to me!!! As a first-generation, low-income student who's dealt with instability from a young age, I never thought this would happen to me! From dealing with homelessness to other countless struggles, this is such an unbelievable surprise 😭

No one will know everything that's happened to me & what's been thrown my way, but I've pushed through it all and I'm so grateful my resiliency, hard work, & passion were recognized 😭
Even now, there's so many things I'm pushing through that I've barely told anyone about — grueling application issues with the UC's, my family getting evicted, & recently finding out my bio dad (who's been in prison all my life) was diagnosed with cancer. Despite everything, I will keep pushing, and I hope you all do too.

So thankful to Brown & to everyone here who has helped me!! You guys are awesome & I hope you all get your flowers soon!! still can't believe I can even say this haha, accepted to Brown with a full ride!!! 🤎 (sorry if this is so emotional I'm just still processing!!)
