Just returning from a 2 week trip to Portugal and it was so pleasant not to worry about tipping. The service at every restaurant was great and there was no expectation of a tip. When closing the tab they don’t even give you an option to leave a tip. Just tap and go.

Wish we had that in the US. I cannot t understand why we continue to subsidize businesses thru tipping when that should be part of the bill. I would not mind restaurants raising prices but this tipping has to end as it has gotten out of control in very the past 5-10 years.
