24 Canyon cowl plastic issue
The end pieces of the cowl cover below the windshield break when you raise the hood "too far'.
Been back and forth with the dealer about this on and off since new. They've replaced the pieces, but they are the same shape, so it just breaks away from the center piece when you raise the hood. There is a service bulletin for this, but service manager says they tried the fix and it doesn't fix it. They say GMC's answer was not to raise the hood more than a few cm over the prop rod when lifting the hood. I called the factory complaint line and was told they couldn't promise I would get a reply. So I guess just deal with it? Dealer has been great, but they need some re- engineered parts from the factory that apparently aren't forthcoming. This issue affects 23-26, so they haven't fixed it for three years!
Anybody else dealing with this B.S.? I'm about ready to go trade it for a Taco...
