Hi all - any advice for setting up my son’s seat for a 9 hour red eye?

I am anxious to do a car seat for that long, I doubt he would sleep well / would be agreeable.

Part of me wants to try to jet kids extender which isn’t allowed on Lufthansa, and test my luck while also strapping him in with the seatbelt for safety. But since it’s not an approved device, how can I keep my toddler secure (if not in a car seat) and also both try to catch some rest?

I did purchase him his own seat, and us and his dad will have the row to ourselves.
