Hello
Last summer I bought a 2011 Subaru legacy 2.5i with 151,000 miles for $2000. After some maintenance repairs I’m in for about $2500. I brought it into my mechanic for an overall inspection, they let me know my head gaskets are blown and leaking coolant. I was quoted $4100 for the repair(that price includes sending the cylinder heads to a machine shop)
Besides the head gaskets, the car is in perfect condition and would require no other work.
I have another vehicle that I drive daily and I bought the Subaru on a whim due to the seemingly good deal on the price I was getting, so I’m not in any hurry to handle this situation.
Currently weighing all my options, any suggestions on what I should do?
