I just finished a stained glass course that was offered at a local art's centre. Wonderful course taught by amazing artisans to a very diverse small group of like minded folks! This hot air balloon was something I did at home in the first few weeks of the course.

Learned a lot from reading posts here in this sub. I wonder if u/Claycorp knows just how much of his knowledge they have shared over the course of the life of this sub! Thanks to them and all the other's that have answered questions, offered advice, and encouraged us!

Fun fact: The sandbag is Atlantic Ocean beach glass!

I recently bought some glass and tote with tools and supplies from an estate sale. This was in with the tools. I can not find a definite identification on this cutter. Much appreciate any help!

I happened to be in the right place at the right time a couple days ago to be part of a conversation with two seasoned stained glass artists. It was mentioned that a friend of theirs that had being creating stained glass artwork for over thirty years was downsizing. I asked a few more questions and long story short, I met up with him today, spent most of the day with him listening to his wonderful stories about stained glass and more as I went through a couple hundred squares.

I came home with this:

• 65 - full squares
• 17 - 1/2 to almost full squares
• 12 - 1/4 squares
• two small totes full of various size pieces
• used inland grinder with 3 bits, one of which is brand new
• patinas
• copper foils and some old school foil dispensers
• patterns
• many other odds and ends
• some amazing conversation and a shared wealth of knowledge!

If I told you all what I paid, you would call be liar. I have been invited back in a couple weeks after he goes through some more stuff. I may have fingered through 1/10 of his glass today. I am truly blessed and so vey much appreciative of his generosity.😊
