Freezing Shells

Hi all! I’m baking macarons for a wedding in mid August. I am starting on the shells now and plan to freeze them and fill the week before. I’ve googled a lot and there is a variety of advice given, so I wanted to reach out to some people with real experience!

If you have done this please let me know how you freeze, defrost, fill, and transport.

My plan currently is to freeze shells, placing them in an airtight container (recommendations welcome). The Wednesday before the wedding I plan to make the fillings. And remove them from the freezer to the fridge. Thursday I will remove them from the fridge and fill. Then put them back in the fridge? Friday I plan to make them look pretty…any advice on timing and execution is appreciated!!

Baking for a wedding

Hi all! I’m making macarons for a wedding of a family member. There is no cake, just the macarons. I am planning 3 (maybe 4?) flavors and there are 150 people. How many should I make?? This is my first time baking at this quantity 😬

Help! Frozen pipes and no AC

I noticed yesterday my first floor wasn’t getting cold after spending most the day in the (cold) basement. I went to the furnace (I think, pictured) and frost was on some pipes. I then went outside (3rd pic) and ice was forming on the pipe to the house. I immediately turned off the AC and fan. Today I went out and replaced the filter. But when I turned the AC on after five hours frost was forming outside again (pic 4). Can anyone tell me what is wrong? I noticed the vents had an insistent amount of air coming out of them (some blowing harder than others), but I have no clue what it means. This is my first house…help please!!

Best ingredient recs?

I’m relatively new to macarons (latest attempt pictured), but I’m wondering if there are any specific brands, ingredients, or tips/tricks you swear by??
