Problem with ski

Hi, so I used to ski a lot when I younger and I always used a 60mm waist ski. I think I remember that being the regulated size but I cant remember. However I just recently started skiing again and I'm having some issues adjusting to the new style skis. I picked up a pair of atomic redsters q7.8 I think. And the skis just aren't that great. When I'm skiing it feels like the skis have 3 different types of cuts and it doesn't feel very uniform. I mainly nowadays just cruise down the frontside of the mountain, but when I start messing around and banging through the slalom course they don't feel like a uniform ski. I was just wondering if anyone had similar feelings or if there's changes I should make. And I know these aren't a dedicated slalom skis but they literally feel like they've got 3 different cuts in their edge when youre trying to use them.

First woodworking project

I didn't realize just how much fun it'd be to make. It's all made from either 2x4s or 1x6s pine boards that I milled to size. I think the next step might be to get some actual cedar to make a matching pair out of, I just have to discover a place to buy them. It does help that I've pretty much got a fully stocked shop from all the various blue collar fields that I've worked in over the years. But any advice or project ideas for a beginner woodworker would be nice to hear. Especially cause I'm now designing a bed frame, night stand, dresser, and a new bathroom vanity.

Need help with Milwaukee Battery BMS Connection

Hello everyone. So I've got a milwaukee m18 12.0 with 21700s that I'm rebuilding. And the battery looks like it was fatally overloaded and one bank of cells was ruined. While I was disassembling the battery I broke the nickel connection that attachs to the bms off with my hands. After further disassembly and removing the entire bms, I decided to learn how exactly the nickel was attached to the bms, and in my learning process I decided that the destructive learning method was necessary and broke another one off. Does anyone have any advice for remedying my misadventures? I was thinking header pin with a piece of wire, and then soldering the wire to the nickel. I'm not really sure how to proceed.

Uneven concrete floor

Hi, so I've got concrete floors in my basement that are poor super poorly. The surface is super uneven, maybe an inch of difference between high and low spots, so I'm kinda looking at the best solution for remedying this. Whether I'm better off jack hammering the floor out, or getting a concrete planer and taking the top of the concrete slab off. I dont think just a concrete grinder alone would be enough but I don't know. Any advice would be appreciated.
