Why are band-aids/bandages allowed in public pools?

My pool(as I assume most would) has a rule against open wounds and sores. Makes good hygienic sense, but seems to be circumventable if people slap an adhesive bandage over it.

What good does this do except to fall off and litter the water for everyone, as evidenced by the multiple I see floating around every day? If your lesion needs to be protected from pool water, then surely the move is to not enter the water?

I'm sorry, this must be brought up often enough, but none of the staff seemed to have an answer

I hate this smug disregard for the actual question.

This is a sticky one because everyone's head tends to stay in their asses and not even acknowledge the actual philosophical discussion that could be had.

First, the question posed is a legitimate question, even if the premise has many faults. Even if it's asked in bad faith, it's still a basic level of religious argument that millions of people struggle to move past. No, I will not be responding to the "if atheist, why good?" here.

I see this exchange reposted more times than I can count and it bothers me because it also contains a glaringly false premise; that religion is considered a place for righteous people among the religious. Even among most holier than thou types, the rhetoric is most often bad persons > finds god > better person, not good person > becomes religious because they are innately better.

The original question isn't even about who we should consider good and bad. The response forces that into the conversation just so the most brain-dead people of the internet can hand-slap each other over the zinger . Do people really think a religious person would see this "comeback" and even for a second think it was an own?

Anyone who posts this uncritically I believe themselves to be in a very juvenile mindset of morality.

With Blue Hole closed for the summer, what are other options for natural water sites to enjoy in the area?

In the past visiting Chattanooga, Blue Hole in Soddy-Daisy became a favorite stop for a casual nature hike rewarded with a refreshing plunge in the creek. Now I'm planning for a group and would love to facilitate something similar, but dont have experience with many other trails.

I would appreciate help narrowing down options. Something with a waterfall or pool and isn't too far to hike to.
