Insurance Retro-bill / Adjustments

So my understanding is that once a script is out of work queue the only way to make a correction to days supply would be via the third party claims phone line M-F 7-430. I assume blocking this ability at store level is done to help control behind the scenes accounting and prevent charge back / loss. However I just heard that at another chain pharmacy they can modify claims at the store level even many months after the date of service. I was just wondering if anyone knows why we are restricted in a such a way compared to at least one of our big competitors. Maybe this could be restricted to Rxm only or even 1 rung higger would give us slightly more flexibility. It doesn't come up often and walgreens has made some improvements with ic+ blocks to help prevent these kinds of things from happening as much so i can also see it not being a high priority. I was just a little shocked to learn it can be done so easily at other places.

Pre book flu shot

Calling to see if someone wants to book a flu shot > 1 month before we even have them? Do they think they are going to run out? I just don't get the concept of making an appointment for something you can walk in any time and get in like 10 min. Genuinely trying to understand what the strategy could be. I would think the focus should be on locking down the clinics / health events etc early since that's what really moves the needle. Customers are literally laughing at us for calling about this.
