Bought this with a hodge podge of inconsistent cottonester, lilac, etc. I'd love some real design help, but my wallet is feeling the pinch. 1) Can I rip it all out myself? 2) what do you suggest in the 3' gap between the house and the current bushes? This might be the most basic question ever, but I just switched to AT&T 1GB Fiber at Home. I'm currently connected to their Gateway (Modem/Router). Beyond updating my CAT5 to CAT6, is there anything else I need to do to get the most out of it?
Also, I don't need to use any other modem/router right? (I know it blows my current modem out of the water Arris SB6141 which can only reach 100mbps currently).
I'm not convinced I need 1GB as we generally connect 2 phones and stream on one device at a time. I might roll down to 3/500mbps.
