(USA) Dasher got upset that I told them to drive safe
I’m still cracking up. I’m cleaning lobby, see someone at the door so I do my usual and open it a bit and try to help cause most of the time it’s missing items from drive orders. This dasher says basically hey I already dropped off this order but the customer says they’re missing nuggets, so after some back and forth and calling, I get her said nuggets, she thanks me so I say “have a good night and drive safe,” she didn’t turn around or say anything. Later I’m covering a break in front drive and have a view of our front door and I see her again and she asked a coworker for a manager, I let her know I helped her a bit ago with the missing nuggets from DD. My manager (who I’m totally cool with and knows me) comes back shaking her head and looks at me and says “she was upset you told her to drive safe.. I can’t make this up”
Considering it’s holiday weekend and also it’s late (like 10:30-11 at this point), am I the cracked one for saying that? Like I genuinely wished this person well.
