Bootloop on Redmi Watch Move after setting Custom Watch Face with wallpaper
Hi guys. Yesterday I tried changing my redmi watch move’s default watch face to a custom one with my own wallpaper applied to it. It failed at some 50-58% (i don’t remember exactly) and then the watch got stuck into a bootloop.
Today, I got to the mi service center and the watch was replaced with another one - same day 2 to 3 hours later (my watch is in under warranty) and they told me to check the new watch. I upgraded the firmware to the latest version using MiFitness App for iOS. Then tried setting the custom watch face which i was previously tried applying on my original one. And guess what the new watch has also failed at that exact percentage (50-58%) and then it too got into a bootloop.
The service center told me that i will get the replacement for this one too as i did the check infront of them and it was legit, but i have to wait till 15 days from now when the stock arrives and due to their replacement policy.
My question is what is causing the bug? What is the actual issue? Because the same thing i.e. changing the watch face to a custom wallpaper one, i did it previously too like maybe a month ago, the same wallpaper, same clock face on the MiFitness iOS app and it did work at that time. What has happened now? There is no new updates that has come to my watch or the app. So, where is the issue? How to solve it? If anyone having similar kind of problem, Please share.
