Was anyone able to register with eMPF without having iAMSmart recently?

iAMSmart app requires me to enable fingerprint authentication on the very first screen, which I refuse to do for various reasons. Their support told me that it is impossible to use this app without biometrics enabled.

I made an appointment to visit eMPF center in a couple of days to ask them to register my account without iAMSmart, and I am trying to understand if it is even possible in theory and how much pushback should I expect.

Side question regarding iAMSmart: does it require fingerprints enabled every time the app is in use or just for the first time? I use Android, Samsung S21 if that is important.
