Cleaning the attic and found the full set from 1999 of the gold cards and poke balls. Found an extra red boxed Charizard that isn't opened at all. Anyone know the value of these?

What cards to choose from?

My son is turning 14 next weekend and want to get him a good box set to open. What's a good set to grab for basketball, baseball or football? He has cards from all 3 sports so genre doesn't matter.
