Fast speech = better fluency but worse pronunciation. Slow speech = opposite. Which should I prioritize?

need some advice...

I've noticed a pattern: when I speak a bit faster, my fluency score goes up but pronunciation drops. When I speak normally/slowly, pronunciation is good but fluency suffers. Content is fine either way.

Not sure which one to prioritize while I work on fixing this, or if there's a "sweet spot" pace that gets both. Anyone dealt with this same trade-off? What worked for you?

Also open to any pronunciation tips in general — thanks!

Alfa PTE predicted 75-80+, got 65 on real exam — which platform actually matches Pearson's scoring?

Just gave my PTE Academic exam and got 65 overall (L61/R63/S69/W66), way below what Alfa PTE mocks predicted. I was consistently scoring 75-80+ across sections on their mocks in the weeks before. Feels like their AI scoring is way too lenient.

For those who've retaken — which platform's mock scores actually matched your real exam score? Looking at APEUni and Pearson's own Scored Practice Test but want to hear real experiences before I commit more study hours to another platform that overestimates me

Please help.Pearson official mock test glitch

I clicked “Save and Exit” during the test because I needed to leave temporarily. After clicking it, the screen has been stuck on “Saving in progress” for about 15 minutes.

PTE Reading struggling — exam in 3 days, need tips

Hi all, my PTE Academic is on Aug 11. My Reading score is around 65 (target 85+). Weakest areas: Fill in the Blanks and Reorder Paragraphs. Speaking/Listening are fine, just Reading is holding me back.

Any tips, strategies, or practice resources that actually helped you improve Reading fast? Would really appreciate it 🙏

Need advice: Reading, Summarize Written Text & Summarize Spoken Text weak, exam in 6 days — how to use the last week effectively?

Hi everyone.

I'm giving my PTE Academic exam on Aug 11 and could really use some guidance from this community.

My latest mock score (ALFA PTE): Overall 73. Listening 70, Reading 65, Speaking 82, Writing 73.

My weaker areas are Reading (especially Fill in the Blanks and Reorder Paragraphs), Summarize Written Text and Summarize Spoken Text

Since I only have about a week left, I'd really appreciate any advice on:

How to improve quickly in these specific areas.

Also,

How best to structure my last week of preparation (what to prioritize, what to avoid, mock test timing, etc.)

Thank you so much in advance for any tips or experiences you can share — it means a lot

Any working PTE Academic voucher codes for India (August 2026)?

Hi everyone! I'm planning to book my PTE Academic exam in India. I currently have subscription on alfa pte and I noticed that Alfa PTE mentioned there are discount vouchers available. Does anyone know any working promo/voucher codes that give a discount on the PTE test fee?

Which PTE platform is closest to the real exam for a 79+ score?

Hi everyone,

My PTE exam is on 11 August, and I'm aiming for 79+.

I've been practising on Alfa PTE for about 3 months. Yesterday, I took a random mock test on Neethu's Academy's portal which is given by my friend, and the questions felt very different. The Retell Lecture (especially conversational ones) repeat sentence, respond to a situation and Reading Fill in the Blanks were much harder than what I'm used to, and it made me lose confidence.

Now I'm confused about whether I should:

Continue with Alfa PTE

Switch to Gurully, ApeUni, or Language Academy

Or use Alfa as my main platform and practise free questions from other platforms.

For those who scored 79+, which platform was closest to the real PTE exam?

I'd really appreciate your suggestions. Thank you!
