How come we haven't gotten mods for viral, blast or corrosive?

And I mean the same way we have magnetic and radiaton mods where the mod itself gives us the combined element, just a general thought

It'd be cool to have those, just saying

I made a set concept for sf3, so I thought why not take the character and make him into a concept for this game, so here's Emjode Kazoku in SFA.

(Some of yall may recognize him, 2nd pic is a reaction image, free to use just give credit if possible)

To start, MOVEMENTS

A good bit of his attacks are gonna be like the blaster tonfas from sf2 but with some variation

His down attack will be essentially his ranged attack that instead of crouching under to dodge you just need to jump to dodge it (it's a really tight barrage of 4 shots, similar to jet's with how bunched up together they are), it does go on cooldown for 7 seconds, during which it'll be replaced by the normal down attack for tonfas from sf2 (they'll be an indicator)

And his up attack is two uppercuts, with the first one being one that staggers and the second one being one that lifts the opponent up and over him to be slammed and shot behind him, the similar way that bulwark's down does.

Unarmed attacks are similar to emperor's except you have lotus raid as a special move, and heavy kick is herald's heavy kick instead.

And the special move has shots in between every other hit (bringing the total amount of hits from 3-4 to about 5-6)

Other than that the other weapon attacks are about the same

Now to talk about passives

There's 2.5

Family of energies and reconnaissance combat.

Family of energies: (this is the 0.5)

You control over 6 different kinds of energies, but you have to decide on how you'll have it charged, until then, stick to shadow, which you both passively qnd actively charge. (Your passive charge is 1/3 of the speed as base fireguard's)

Shadow: you have access to 1 shadow move (a variant of acrobat from the sabers in sf3 but you fire shots at the opponent as you're flipping away).

Light: your next down attack will instead smite the opponent and burn 10% of their energy.

Oblivion: your next 3 blocked attacks will break through block and deal increased damage (not crits), they'll all deplete after 20 seconds.

Bloom: heal 15% of max hp and make viral breath's damage reflection happen instantly regardless of health level for 10 seconds.

Time: similar to itu's time manipulation but less potent, but dosen't go away after being hit or hitting the opponent, lasts for 5 seconds.

Void: burn your opponent's energy or other bars completely and prevent them from charging it for 3 seconds, also stun them for those same 3 seconds.

This will tie in to your first 2 choices for talents hence why it's not a full passive (like hong-joo's ranged attack)

Reconnaissance combat: (this is 1 of 2.5)

Your ranged button instead now makes you holster your weapon and fight unarmed

While unarmed your limbs will fly out to about mid range (similar range to ling's non crit ranged attack) and return, they'll bounce back quicker if they hit the opponent at closer ranges.

Your fist attacks are similar to emperors expect for heavy and special

Heavy is an extended grab that pulls the opponent to you into a palm thrust.

And special is shadow's 6 punch combo from sf3

Using it again makes you draw your weapons again and fight like normal. This has a 15 second cooldown.

Viral breath: (the last of the 2.5)

While above 50% power you are 15% more vunerable to damage and reflect 10% of the damage you take back to the opponent in the form of dot toxic that deals it's damage over 10 seconds, only one can be active at a time, it dosen't refresh at base, while below 50% health you gain 15% damage resistance and 10% life steal.

Talent choices #1:

Choice A| Saw of unpredictability:

You now can use 5 more energies for various effects, after charging shadow for the first time, the next one will be picked randomly. You charge energies 45% faster, you have to use your current charged bar before moving onto the next.

Choise B| Saw of strategy:

You now can use 5 more energies for various effects, after charging shadow for the first time, it'll rotate to the next one down the list. You charge energy 25% slower but gain configuration of the void, which increases all your stats by 15% (defense, attack, shadow power)for the rest of the fight for every completed rotation, you have to use your current bar before moving onto the next.

Talent choices #2:

Choice A| Reconnaissance Crita:

Every time you switch between reconnaissance combat and regular combat your next hit will be a guaranteed crit, dosen't break block.

Choice B| preemptive combat:

You can now choose what combat form you want to start (like butcher's legendary weapon).

Talent choices #3:

Choice A| Surface mastery:

Your first 3 energies are enhanced.

Shadow: now has a new shadow move (a variant of slide from the hook swords, that has you shoot down at the opponent instead) and shadow form lasts longer, you still can only use one move however. (Sometimes the threat of a choice does more than the action).

Light: the smite deals critical damage and staggers the opponent. (Does not knock down)

Oblivion: charges increased to 5 and damage is increased even further.

Choice B| Curiousity of the Depths:

Your second 3 energies are enhanced.

Bloom: heal increased to 15% max hp plus 10% missing hp, and damage reflect goes up from 10% to 15% for its duration.

Time: lasts 10 seconds now and each successful hit increases the duration by 0.25s (max duration cap of 15 seconds), upon ending your next hit will crit.

Void: deals damage based on energy burned (1% shadow damage per 5% energy burned)

Talent Choices #4:

Choice A| Reconnaissance resurgence:

While in reconnaissance combat you gain 25% more energy from successful attacks, and deal more damage based on your current energy charge.

Choice B| Viral purge:

Viral breath now deals it's reflected damage over 5 seconds instead of 10, and you no longer are vulnerable to damage.

Talent choices #5:

Choice A| Story behind the title:

Every time you use any energy you convert 5% of your physical damage into shadow power, up to 50% for the duration of the fight, persist even in 1v1s.

Lifesteal from viral breath is permanent and no longer requires you to be at 50% max hp or less

(Think of marcus's old 5th talent)

Choice B| the ground will know how your blood tastes:

For every 5% of health you loose you gain 1% damage resistance, for every 5% health the opponent looses you gain 2.5% more damage.

Every time your crit you apply a strong bleed that deals 75% of the damage over 3 seconds.

Additional notes:

This character cannot crit randomly, the only sources of crits you have are your abilities.

QnA:

Any questions, comments or concerns will be answered as soon as I can, tho don't expect answers for the first 11-12 hours of this post being up as I'm going to sleep (it's 3am as of posting this).

The Leison is cool, but I find it weird how it being the only infested polearm it didn't get smth exclusive, so with this I ask, what do y'all think should be given to the leison? And how would it look like?

I'll start:

I'd like to see a coda variant with a different version of its passive.

That being: on *any* status effect gain 20% attack speed and 45% toxic damage with guaranteed status (this time it won't combine with other mods unlike the regular).

Gain 10% increased base damage for every enemy killed with at least 35 toxic stacks (up to 120%)

It'll have increased range going from 2.7m to 3m

Increased base crit chance 15% to 30%

Increased base status chance 37% to 40%

And decreased base damage 379 to 345 (this is on account of the passive)

It'll also have innate viral (40% of its slash damage will be converted into the viral)

But please tell me what yall think

▲ 1.3k r/Warframe

As we know, there are relations amongst some of the frames, nokko and yareli being siblings, and gauss and grendel being friends, but are there any rivals amongst the frames? And the frames specifically? If not what pair of frames would make for interesting rivals?

And for a side note, if you have a warframe concept, you can use that in your answer too, but do make it as reasonably plausible as possible

But you don't need to take it seriously, it's just a fun post to make stuff up

This is my first post here, I've been avoiding posting here due to the many warnings I've gotten about this sub but I'm willing to test new waters, that being said, here's Voltamaster!

As a person that loves sparring weapons, I see this as a W, but one question comes to mind, what will the incarnon do?

My theory, I know it's a bit of a stretch but hear me out

One of the obex's glaring features design wise is those sources of light it has, what the source itself is, I don't know, but

My theory is that the incarnon will do something that has to do with these

Maybe a weaker narrower version of desert wind with lazers instead?

Maybe those lights are pressure pads, so the incarnon would give guaranteed blast prots on crit?

And what would the evolutions do?

But these are just my theories

What are yall's theories?

Im curious

Should tenet diplos's alt fire be changed rather than the stats?

I've mentioned the diplos in a game before and what changed could've been made stat wise, but, then I got the coda bassocyst, and it had a similar thing going where the alt fire shoots homing projectiles that virtually never miss, and then I realized something

The tener diplos requires you to scan to apply marks on the enemy while ADSing (aiming down sights), then keep adsing in order for your alt fire to work, meanwhile for the coda bassocyst, all that is required for the alt-fire is a quick crosshair check, meaning is the enemy within a cone made from your crosshair + alt fire max range, and you can fire it while not adsing, so my question is

Would diplos be better if it just worked like the bassocyst in that the alt fire just needs to do a quick crosshair check, of course it would vary between the two, with tenet diplos probably having a bigger effective area, aswell as maybe give it a wieder cone of detection on its crosshair

And speaking of aiming, should the tenet diplos's projectiles seek out headshots while you're ADSing? Or should it just do it passively?

To kinda allow freedom and not slow your gameplay down by forcing you to ADS while still incetivising you to ADS, or should it just be a default thing that it always happens, to kinda spice up it's alt fire to differentiate it from other weapons with similar gimmicks?

Tell me what y'all think

And by that, I don't mean, the whole incarnon gimmick, im well aware of that, but what I mean is, that in terms of gimmicks, what does it have? For a melee focused player, even more so for tonfas, I've noticed that all the other tonfas got something going on, kronen is easy to get, the prime has a higher than average base status chance, ohma has inate eletric status damage for that melee influence arcane everyone likes, aswell as high base status chance, with average crit chance, with the prisma having the roles between the stats changed if one wants to run a crit build instead, then we have the boltace, it's the other beginner tonfa, relative to the other tonfas, and this one has a slight higher than average base status chance, with the telos variation doubling down on this advantage while also bringing the crit chance from a bad base 6% up to the slightly below average of 20%, ontop of that granting the syndicate mission, so what path does prados lean into? I genuinely don't know, because base damage wise, it's decent, but other than that, it's average, too average, to the point that running mixed is a waste, without the evolutions of course, with the evolutions, it seems to be an attack speed demon, but then what? Attack speed is nice but it's one of those stats where it dosen't determine a build path, but enchance it, let's look at another zaramin melee for comparison, the thalys, not only does the evolutions provide the same 20% attack speed, and the swinft mutation, but their incarnon star bonuses are the same, and ontop of that it has a whole separate gimmick with the shards that it applies, and what does the praedos get? As far as I know, not much, the 100% faster heavy attacks is nice but that's about it, again that's based on what I know, so please tell me what to make of this weapon because again, im a tonfa lover, and I would wish this weapon had something,

Heck maybe a built in enervate while in incarnon to take advantage of its plentiful attack speed, or something else, just anything really, unless im completely wrong and there is something I can do with this weapon in which please pet me know

It started in 2023, near the end of the quarantine on my end, where I just got done watching transformers robots in disguise, the one that was released in 2001, as well as transformers cybertron of the unicron trinity, my 15 yo behind had a random thought, "hey it'd be cool for the decepticons to have a member that can turn into a base for them", after thinking this over, and over, I came to the conclusion that...this wouldn't work, so I kept thinking for alternatives, rewatched transformers cybertron, and it clicked, an idea that *sparked* in me, "an Autobot quad changer (bot mode counted for), that can control electricity and energon.", and with that, came the idea, then came the visual and name, first the visual, and how they came to be, well long story short, I've purchased a megatron figure...which I broke by accident, but then I kit bashed it into what's currently shown in image one, as for the name, It kinda just came to me on a whim, like a feeling, a calling, almost as if future me somehow whispered it to me, and the character 'Voltamaster' was born, now onto the story for image 2 through 4, I came across an app called canva, basically graphic designer for workplace presentations, but I used it in a different way, by compiling different shapes till they look like something, which was image number 2, as improved this, I started contemplating, yearning for more out of myself, so I came to the conclusion that I needed to take a leap, and go from using canva, to draw, this was around mid to late 2024, where I first made the leap to transition, leading to the 5th image, it was good at the time, but there was a problem,

It was traced, and in my mind? This could not do, it just couldn't, so I told myself that the next time I redesigned Voltamaster, which happened in early 2025, not only will I not trace, but I wouldn't even use any major references, and I did so, I used two minor references, one for the torso shape, and one for the empty hand, but other than that, nothing, I was going off of blind tunnel vision, honestly I don't know how I even managed to complete it, but I did, then present year, around march, I had an dilemma, I got to this point but, it felt like using G1 aspects in the design felt a bit cheap due to the simplicity (not saying that it is, but that's just how I personally felt about my own art), so I went from one extreme to another, and thought, in terms of detail which designs for transformers are the most complex, boarderline too busy, and I got an answer, bayverse, early bayverse designs were the perfect thing I was looking for, and I got to work, it was challenging at first, because I didn't even know how, and what body part to start with, but once I did, I got it rolling, staying up late (which I don't recommend, sleep is very essential even in art), once I was done, I took a step back, and didn't look at the current design alone, but the journey,

**the journey behind the design**.

(A discussion flair would be nice ngl)

u/agentcryostar — 2 months ago

Basically bots that are naturally just as big as combiners, equipped with mostly slicing weapons or devices meant to undo combinations, seeing as combination always seems to be an overall power boost beyond just the combination of the 5-6 original members, and then some, it'd be cool to have units that specialize in dealing with combiners, but tend to struggle against bots that are more or less the same size as one, such as opposing anti-combiners or titan class bots, ofc there are exceptions, as with everything class related, Anti-combiner is more of a fan term made by me as of now, but probably some people before me aswell, but that being said, it'd be cool to see this term used to describe some bots, even ocs
