Flashing LineageOS (Android 16) on a Verizon V60 (V600VM) – Is it actually possible now, and is it worth it?

Hey everyone,

I've been looking into breathing some new life into my LG V60 by flashing the latest LineageOS (Android 16 / LineageOS 23). However, I’ve hit a bit of a conflicting wall regarding my specific variant.

Every old thread and general comment section says the Verizon model (LM-V600VM) has a locked down bootloader and straight up cannot be cross-flashed or bootloader unlocked. But when I check the official LineageOS Wiki for timelm, the LM-V600VM is explicitly listed right there under the basic requirements and supported models!

For anyone who has actually managed to pull this off on a Verizon variant:

How did you do it? Since there’s no official LG bootloader unlock anymore, did you have to use the QFIL/firehose method to force a bootloader unlock, or cross-flash to a different region's firmware first using LGUP?

What is the correct roadmap? If you have an up-to-date guide or a reliable XDA link for the Verizon model specifically, please drop it below.

And the ultimate question: Is it actually worth it?

I love this phone for the hardware (the Quad DAC, the SD card slot, and the dual-screen capability). If I jump ship to LineageOS 23:

Do we lose the high-res Quad DAC tuning completely, or is there a workaround?

How buggy is the fingerprint scanner on Android 16?

Does VOLTE work at all? it ain't working for me.

I'd love to hear from anyone who has taken a Verizon V60 down the custom ROM path. Thanks in advance!
