What would it take for Minecraft to have a serious competitive scene?

I've been thinking about Minecraft from a competitive/esports perspective, and after reading some of the criticism on my previous post, I think I was looking at the problem from the wrong angle.

Minecraft already has a lot of competitive activities: PvP, BedWars, UHC, SkyWars, speedrunning, build competitions, etc.

But unlike games such as Valorant, BGMI or Free Fire, there isn't one standardized competitive format that everyone can rally around.

So instead of asking:

“Should Minecraft have esports?”

I'm asking:

“If you had to design a serious Minecraft esport from scratch, what would it look like?”

What would you prioritize?

⚔️ PvP/mechanical skill

🧠 Strategy & resource management

🎯 Objectives/territory control

🏃 Movement

🏗️ Building/technical skill

🌎 Survival

🔀 A combination of several

💡 A completely new format

And what do you think is currently the biggest obstacle to Minecraft becoming competitive at a professional level?

I'm genuinely looking for criticism here. If you think the idea is fundamentally flawed, explain why.

I'm exploring the possibility of eventually organizing competitive Minecraft events, but before spending money or building anything, I want to understand whether there's actually a format that players would want to compete in and viewers would want to watch.

#poll_question..

If you could create ONE standardized Minecraft esport, what would you choose?

Potential of Minecraft in Esports

As we all know that Esports is a Growing Industry and have made the total Revenue of $3.3 Billion and is also expected that it will become one of the Giant Industries globally by 2033-34 and may Reach $10 to $14 Billion...

On that many games like BGMI , Free Fire , Valorantare Hosting International LAN Tournaments , while a game which is actually more popular then those , more elder then those games is still struggling to have it's presense at esports , buy why.. Just because it's a sandbox game? No , because nobody have even thought about this concept yet... So,

From the past week I've been thinking that can Minecraft be played as a Competitive game just like BGMI , Free Fire , Valorant.

And after some of the Research I've found that the game actually has the potential of Being a Competitive game , as it has many broad categories of Competitive play like 1v1 PvP , Bedwars , Skywars , Team PvP , Build UHC, kit PvP , Capture the Flag,.

LAN Tournaments are actually possible through this game , so on this..

I'm Working on a Tournament Hosting Organization Specially only for Minecraft , but i have a huge issue , which is of budget...

I will need some fundings for the web maintainance and Prize Pool Distribution and I also need Team members which will help me in The Project and Smooth Functioning of the Organization.

I have thought that I'll make my own country India as the testing ground for this Revolution and if this actually succeeds , I'll plan for it's global launch...

I will start working on the web structure as soon as I see that More and More People are Interested in the Progress of Minecraft community in Esports..

If anyone want to help me in this Project they can DM me

So , let's see if Gaming industry is getting another esports Revolution for Minecraft...
