Since AI & DS is a relatively new branch at NIT Warangal, could any seniors share their experience?

How similar is the curriculum to core CSE? Roughly what percentage of the syllabus overlaps?

Do AI & DS students get to sit for the same software placements as CSE students, or do you need to learn a lot of extra things on your own?

Is the coursework more hectic than CSE, or does it leave enough time to work on DSA, development, CP, etc.?

I'm also confused between NIT Rourkela CSE and NIT Warangal C****SE (AI & DS). My priority is getting enough free time to build skills for placements while also being at the stronger college overall. I'd really appreciate any insights from seniors who have seen both options or are in AI & DS at NITW.
