I’m 19F and I don’t really remember whether I’ve received the HPV vaccine. I’m kind of in denial about it and unsure whether I should just go and get vaccinated. How should I go about this?

For context, I’m doing an internship at a small-to-medium-scale factory in India during the gap between my 1st and 2nd year of mechanical engineering. They have a CNC machining and fabrication shop and make generator/turbine components for power-generation systems.

I’m pretty new to mechanical engineering and don’t have many skills yet. I know a little AutoCAD and Fusion 360.

My main job is basically taking drawings from paper and recreating them in AutoCAD. I’ve gotten slightly faster at AutoCAD, but I honestly don’t know how useful that skill is since AutoCAD feels pretty basic and I’m not sure how widely it’s actually used in industry.

They also recently bought a relatively new CNC machine. Before that, they were apparently operating things manually, and they’re still figuring out the new machine. The founder knows a little Mastercam, but he isn’t experienced enough with it to really run the machine yet since they’ve only had it for a couple of weeks. So they’re basically expecting me to learn Mastercam myself.

I was hoping for more hands-on experience with CNC, machining, tooling, etc., but I’m mostly doing AutoCAD and using spare time to self learn mastercam.

What should I learn or do during the internship to make this experience genuinely useful?
