I need some help with logical decisions, thought some S3 Brant havers could help me out here. TLDR at the end if you don't wanna deal with my desperate yapping here.

Let me state my problem: I am in despair. I kind of (really desperately) want Brant S3. I've been saving my corals for ages and I have two wavebands for him. I've kind of been hoping the next reverb banner will feature him, but alas, no banner in sight next patch. More time to farm I suppose. Well, now, with Jingran dropping, I'm getting weaker day by day waiting for Brant to finally return and am really considering going for Jingran's S3 instead. It's probably the more logical step - he does so much more dmg, it's probably smarter. But I love Brant. The day his banner dropped was the day the sun shone a little brighter......... idk.

So, my actual questions: Does anyone, perchance, have Brant S3R1, Lupa S0R1 and Mornye S1R0 and could tell me a bit about how he does in endgame content? My S0R1 Brant is doing fineISH, but it's getting harder with every toa reset. He can't really clear 3 and 4 anymore sadly. This WhiWa reset I also had to bench him... he could get 2k points with Denia before, but this reset he just kinda flopped and I gave up. Matrix R2 gets me around 7k - 8k points, but the second I take Mornye away from him it's all over.

I'm assuming S3 can clear much better than that, but how would you describe the dmg? Is it a lot more? How much does your anchor hit for?

I'm asking for the specific team because I can't find any showcases on yt with Mornye S1.

I know you guys are biased. So am I. You'll probably all tell me to go for Brant. All my friends are telling me to let go and go for Jingran instead. I cannot let that slide... I need the numbers! Please help!

So question 2: What would you do? Jingran or Brant? Or secret third option: drop both

TLDR: how much dmg does your S3 Brant do (with Mornye S1 and Lupa) and do I want that too?

i'm a little confused. i see people everywhere going insane that his set cannot get decent crit stats without a second 4 cost and that he is unplayable without shorekeeper. but now i'm just confused if i am missing something or if we're just spoiled with most recent main dps being able to reach up to 100% crit rate with their set bonus.

idk why it's different for jingran, but every resonator i've built works absolutely fine with 70/270 crit stats and if my calculations aren't off, you can easily reach that with jingran as well.

a crit rate main stat echo gives 22% crit rate. his set gives 20%. it's very close. using a crit dmg main stat echo gives you the ability to reach 70/270 easily - even more with shorekeeper.

(let's say an average of 8% crit rate leads to 40% on all echoes, +5% base stat, +8% forte, +20% set. it's 73%. most of my main dps have around that.)

is the problem that he needs to stack it first? from what i understand that should be fairly quick no? or do we just think he really needs the 100% crit rate to function and 70% is not enough?

maybe you'll just tell me to wait until the livestream, which would be very fair, but i just wanted to ask in case there is something i'm just too stupid to think of right now.

i have ABSOLUTELY zero clue why i'm flopping so hard, but it's impossible for me to clear hazard tower 3 and 4 with luuk. i consistently get 2 stars in the third tower and only 1 star in the fourth.

a few details:

i have his premium team (s0r0 denia (using cosmic ripples and pact of neonlight leap) and s1r0 mornye (discord)). my stats on denia aren't great, i'm missing a lot of crit because cosmic ripples is trash but surely this can't be the reason?

my luuk is s0r1, with 70/275 crit stats, 120 er, 2200 atk, 30% basic atk dmg bonus. i feel like that should be fine?

also, yes, denia is on tune strain mode, i triple checked.

for the rotation i'm doing a normal 321, tune breaking whenever it's up. i'm not doing any animation cancels on luuk but i do use his scythe between attacks as well. i feel like i'm doing everything right? like he's really not that hard to play, can anyone tell me what the problem is?

my s0r1 BRANT cleared faster (significantly!!!) than he did. surely that is not normal?
