Is there a time limit for being on a specialist’s “wait list”, and is there a mechanism to see a specialist in a difference service region?

I’m currently dealing with another IBD related flare-up, and I called in to the GI appointment line to make an appointment. However, I was told that they are fully booked out, and that I’ll be added to the “wait list,” and when an appointment opens up, I’ll receive a call to schedule into the open slot.

I’ve currently been on this list for 5 weeks, and I’m wondering if there’s a time limit in which one ‘falls off’ the “wait list” and has to be re-added? Also, since I know that the San Bernardino Service Region is particularly backed up, is there a way to be transferred to a different region within Southern California? (My primary hospital is Fontana, secondary is Ontario, but my Double Balloon Enteroscopy was done in Baldwin Park)

I know that when I put in a request for a second opinion outside of Kaiser GI, that request was denied because the “wait list” is sufficient to show that my appointment request is being handled in the requisite amount of time. (This was in December, and I didn’t hear back until February)

Injured while scuba diving in the Philippines, how to best update Kaiser?

As the title states, I was on a scuba diving trip where I was stung by the “sea wasp” (chironex fleckeri) and received 7 vials of box jellyfish anti venom to counter. My diving insurance paid the bill, and now that I’m back, I’m wondering what is the best way to update Kaiser (and more importantly)y primary care physician so that I can be properly monitored? Would I just send the hospital records in?
