Guitar recommendation

Hi all. I'm 52 and been playing since I was 5 or 6. Can basically play any rock or metal or country out there. Only know a few classical pieces. I've owned several acoustics and electrics over the years but I'm pretty unfamiliar with classical guitars.
My focus is on learning to read music (I've been working at this for about 6 months now and progress is slow but steady) and getting into some more classical music. Would appreciate any advice you may have for a first classical guitar. I'm thinking $500 or less. I'm 6'2" with fairly large thin hands. I laugh at myself playing my daughters' 1/2 size fender right now. It actually doesn't sound too bad but it's much too small.

I’m about 250 pages in and I really just might not finish it. Should I put in the time? Does it evolve? I find the writing to be sort of…predictable? Flat maybe? Not hating on Brandon Sanderson really. It’s just not to enjoyable for me. But if the story unfolds in a really cool way later I’ll stick it out to the end.

The shell is just a ball which I’ve completed. Then, using a separate piece of yarn, you’re supposed to work into FLO on round 7, a sc and a treble croche all the way around to create a frilly rim around the bottom of the shell. Do I simply start with a single croche as If doing a color change? And the instructions for the treble croche that came with the kit (a video) are not helpful. Any helpful tips of videos would be appreciated.
