For context, I grew up in Eastern Europe, definetly in a bubble as I unfourtounately have problems relating to the culture (slightly more introverted than others, which is hard in Eastern Europe, childhood that made it really hard to be exposed to the community of where I lived, very little friends and all of them left the coubtry as well). I blame my parents a bit, but it was hard for them as well, I howevere cannot simply feel like home in my own country, I never had a community there. I left to the Netherlands for education, and I met a lot of people from my home country here, and I couldn't relate to them, I felt like an outsider talking to "my" people... I am currently about to start my masters degree, and then maybe a phd somewhere else in Europe. I know a few languages, and I don't shy away from learning more. I am slowly feeling more estranged from home, here is not home either. I will not be able to find a job I like in my home country after I finish my masters, as it is at least 10 years behind any country that offers jobs in the field I want to pursue, also even if they are, it is at the end of the day a very sexist working environment, which demotivated me since I became old enough to understand and feel it. I met someone here as well, it made it feel a bit more like home, and also made me understand a bit more about myself, I feel a bit closer to the northern part of Europe, in mentality and character. He is longing for his home country, which I now can say, I will not be able to understand, until maybe I will have a place I can call my home. My home country is beautiful, the people are as well sometimes, but I think I was never able to call it home. Is this just how it feels to be an expat in your 20s?
Does anyone have experience with doing three tracks? I am thinking of talking three years to finish my master degree so I can do three tracks, two in year 1, 1 in year 2, and year three for my thesis. I know this is technically not possible, and only two of the tracks will count towards my credits, but I am interested in three tracks and I would like the possibility to do more electives than just the computer science ones, or a student team on the side.
