Colin From Accounts is comedy gold

I cannot stress how funny this show is. I’m on season 3 and the writing is so fast paced, witty, lighthearted and adorably silly.

This show makes me so happy! It’s an Australian show with very charming leads. The actors are married in real life so tons of chemistry!!

They are unknown strangers that randomly cause an injury to a dog and go to take him to the vet together and it all starts there!

If you’re having a bad day, need some lighthearted laughs, or just appreciate the fast paced style of Australian shows should check it out

Digger - an absolutely surprising gem

TLDR: Give this extremely topical, brutally satirical, harshly truthful film a chance. We don’t get many films like this nowadays and it is an absolute beauty.

Full: I almost canceled my tickets for Thursdays opening of Digger due to how many brutal reviews there were but I very thankfully went to check it out.

I absolutely loved this movie. There were probably only 10 of us in the theater, and 2 people did leave who were a very old couple. I think they saw Tom Cruise and had no idea what they were getting themselves into.

10/10 on sound design. Truly. It was an audiophiles wet dream. The entire film is truly a cacophony of endless overlapping sounds. It was anxiety inducing and overwhelming, which really contributed to the atmosphere. It’s a nightmare.

The sets are gorgeous. The director and cinematographer did a beautiful job. It’s visually stunning in all ways. Tom Cruise has a very controversial personal life but wow, can he act. One of my favorite films of his in recent memory. He acts the house down. The (fake?) long shots throughout are well done and a long Tom Cruise monologue is really perfectly written and powerful in its messaging.

This film is brutal. It is an absolutely hideous mirror being held up to its audience. It does not hold back and is relentless in its farcical, yet unbelievably truthful storytelling.

Riz is the other major highlight.

I personally found the film funny, but I was the only person I heard laughing. It’s funny in a very dark way. There’s a curse word scene that I very loudly laughed at. I found the film to be a satire (farce) almost in the realm of a Coen Brothers film, mixed with Wes Anderson sets, and A Series of Unfortunate Events makeup and look (I mean that as a compliment to the show).

The negative: there is a shocking plot twist that is revealed about 35 mins into the movie that continues to appear throughout. Really, it ruined the entire flow of the story in my opinion and did not add anything of value. It simply added more runtime and I just don’t understand why it was a major plot element. I might be missing something about its messaging, but I felt like it was unnecessary.

RuPauls “lost critique” to Pythia on GAS

Pythia’s Instagram has been releasing videos about her preparation for Canadas All Stars, inspiration behind looks, and general tidbits. I strongly recommend checking them out, it’s incredible to see how much thought she puts into her looks. The above video specifically is about RuPaul on GAS on an unaired critique during the snatch game episode.

TLDR: RuPaul says that Pythia has Alchemy; an ability to take things in the world and transform them into reality and that’s a gift that can never be taught or learned.

Please go check out her page and look at the other videos

I’m not sure if this only applies to existing members but apparently WOW+ is half off for the year membership! FYI for any current members who wants to make the switch. I plan on it because I watch lots of the non-USA versions of the show.

Who’s eagerly awaiting STD day?

I absolutely plan on seeing the movie opening weekend, but this is one of the strangest and poor advertisements I have ever seen for a film. It keeps popping up on my Instagram.

Why the eye? Without noticing RuPauls name this gives zero context for the film. Where’d that train go honey?!?

Also disclosure day? This is unbelievably confusing.

Need equivalent of Andrew Christian “almost naked” cut

Hello! Please help. Andrew Christian had these amazing underwear that were called “almost naked” that did NOT have a separate pouch, but simply were cut in a way that kept your boys off your legs, free from crushing and every so slightly lifted. I literally never needed to readjust or tweak anything. My boys just stayed in the right place no matter what.

AC closed shop and I don’t know what else to buy. I tried SeperateTec and I hated them, it was too complicated and didn’t ever fit right. I do NOT want any separate pouches.

Any recommendations?

I know there are probably some regional differences, but just a heads up to folks going to Hokum this weekend, it started exactly 14 mins after schedule.

I think a lot of people were AList so they were strolling in late and missed a good 10 mins of the intro.

Enjoy your weekend!
