Thoughts on Artificial Sweeteners
For context I'm someone who has always loved sweet drinks but recently decided that I wanted to lower my body fat %. I've been somewhat successful and one way which helped was by switching from drinking normal sugary drinks like Luckin / Starbucks to drinks like Coke Zero / White Monster / 100 Plus Zero.
For what it's worth, I actually think that artificial sugars are absolutely goated. Just the fact that I get to enjoy sweet drinks for 0 kcals feels massive. Of course, I've tried my best to do as much research as I can regarding the negative effects of artificial sweeteners like Aspartame and Sucralose but I can't seem to find much concrete negative effects. Still, it feels too good to be true.
So what are everyone's thoughts on drinking artificial sweeteners? Do yall think its under-researched and potentially possess some kind of negative effects we just don't know yet? Or is it actually as safe as it claims to be?
