40 F4A - Nerdy friends to do nerdy things together
Inner west but I love heading into the CBD and willing to travel if not too far. Hoping to find people closer to my age.
Looking to find outgoing nerdy/geeky friends to do fun things around Melbourne. Maybe head to Fortress for events (anyone heading to Team Up Tuesday this week who want to buddy up?), have movie and take-out nights, maybe start board game nights with a group, go to Pax/Con (I’ve never been!) or other events that pop up. Also down to explore Melbourne food places and cafes with some nerdy chat.
For me, I love to play games. Fall Out, Tomb Raider, Alan Wake, Control, Sims (now Paralives), GTA, older Assassins Creed and Far Cry, The Last of Us, Metro, Horizon Zero Dawn & Forbidden West, Dying Light, Avowed… and sooo many more. I would love to find people who can sit around and talk about this kind of stuff (e.g. Quantum Break and Tim Breaker… will we ever see Jack Joyce again? Was Ted Faro’s ending deserved or should he have suffered more? Remastered, LAU, or survival trilogy? What do you want to discuss?).
I love watching shows and movies and exploring how they were made. I also adore reading, art, and food.

Heads up: I’m not your person if you’re looking for a one-sided conversation to discuss only your own interests or leech the joy out of other’s interests. It’s an unfortunate thing I’ve noticed when seeking nerdy/geeky friends.
Also, I’ve tried many times to get into D&D but I’ve always had a bad time. So while I’m still willing to give it a go with the right circle, and I’m happy to hear you chat about the fun you have with it, it’s not my first choice for first meet ups.
