Disneyland Costco Tickets Sold Out

Just want to come here and let everyone know the tickets at Costco are sold out in the ENTIRE Bay Area. I can also confirm it’s sold out in Turlock, Modesto, Lodi, Manteca, Merced, Tracy.

I had the tickets and tried to check out at the Modesto location and they took them from me and multiple people behind me saying they were out of stock. I then went to guest services and had them check other locations. They told me they couldn’t find anywhere that had them. And they won’t be getting any more. ☹️

Looking for Advice on Prevention for Calcium Oxalate Monohydrate Stones

They did a test on my stone and it came out as:

Calcium Oxalate Monohydrate (Whewellite) 70%

Calcium Oxalate Dihydrate (Weddellite) 15%

Carbonate Apatite (Dahllite) 15%

The DR did not follow up with any of this with me. Or what any of it means. It was in my MyChart results from September of last year. I’m still waiting on meeting with a Nephrologist.

I’m hoping in the meantime I could get any advice on the best things to avoid for these types of stones in particular? And possibly what I should ask my DR when the referral finally comes though?

I take no medications regularly except ibuprofen once or twice a week. Usually less than that. I definitely know I need to up my water intake. I had bariatric surgery two years ago and so I’m supposed to take a daily multivitamin and calcium 3x a day. (I’m really bad and never take those.)

I’ve had the kidney stones ongoing though for about 15 years now. I usually get 1-2 really bad ones a year where I land in the ER for 10/10 pain. But that didn’t start until 6 years ago. Before that it was probably 3 kidney stones total that landed me in the ER for the 9 years prior to 2020.

Build & Battle Same Deck on Repeat?

I really like build and battle. I play it a lot. However, on this rotation I’m having an issue with only getting the fighting deck? I’ve done it 7 times in a row now and I have gotten the fighting deck every single time. It’s not even a good deck, I’m constantly getting wrecked by the physic deck. When will it be my turn to use the physic deck???

NSFW: I passed at least part of my stones today!!! 17mm

I got an ESWL on 6/25 for a 17mm stone. On 7/10 I went into the ER with all the normal kidney stone pain. I was in 10/10 pain. Rocking back and forth, couldn’t open my eyes, throwing up. I arrived at 5pm. It wasn’t until 2 am I got some morphine. Got my pain down to a liveable 6. ER doctors thought there was a problem with my nephrostomy tube, so they said they would admit me for possible surgery. I got a room at 6 am.

At least that doctor was super nice and listened to my pain. He ordered dilaudid every 3 hours. Which has never happened before. I had 2 great nurses who never made me feel bad about asking for pain meds every 3 hours either. That was the first time for that. Today the doctor comes in and says he’s gonna discharge me, take me off the dilaudid, etc. I accept as I want to go home. I got my last dose an hour ago and OH MY GOD. Thank goodness I did.

I go to pee and, in my opinion, the toliet is filled with stones. I don’t know what amount of pain I would’ve been in without that last dose. But it only hurt like a 2/10.

I’m so happy I finally had nurses and doctors that listened to me and cared about my pain.

Is there a specific post/sub where I can find servers to join?

I’m on PS5. I’ve been looking for a bit now and maybe I’m just missing it? Is there a place people post to advertise their server? I would like the server to be harder, but no perma death. And I want it to be 3.0. Thanks!

Huge Kidney Stone + Nephrostomy Tube Positive Story

I’ve had many kidney stones of all sizes under 10mm. Until now. My current one is 17mm.

Last September, 8 months ago, I had a 7mm stone semi obstructing my right ureter. I landed in the ER and a day later emergency surgery. I was told I’d be getting a laser treatment and a stent. The doctor said I wouldn’t even notice the stent and it wouldn’t be painful after the first day. I would get the stent removed in 2 weeks.

It was the worst 2 weeks of my life. Non stop kidney pain, unable to sleep in any position. I sat at anywhere between a 6-10 pain all day every day. I ended up in the ER twice for uncontrollable pain and begging them to take out the stent. They refused. Even after the stent was removed, I ended up back in the ER an hour later for uncontrollable pain. It felt like a brand new kidney stone. The only thing that helped was an IV duladid drip and even then it only brought the pain down to a 5-6.

Which brings me to now. I found out via my urologist that I had a 17mm in my left kidney. He offered the stent and I did everything I could not to burst out in tears in the office. I started telling him my horror story. He offered a nephrostomy tube to be placed in my back. He said he didn’t recommend it, but due to my prior issues he’d go for it if I wanted to. I made a post here on Reddit for advice. Most people said no. A urologist commenting changed my mind and I told the plunge.

It took longer than they said it would. April 22 is when we decided. I didn’t get the tube until June 2. There was a complication where the tube was partially dislodged on day 2. I had to get it replaced on June 15. The surgery is terrible. They keep you awake for the whole thing and it definitely hurt. The surgeon offered no pain meds before or after. They said I would be sedated, but I wasn’t out of it at all. There’s always pain, but it’s a definite doable 2-5 daily. I can sleep, it’s just a little uncomfortable.

Then I finally got the laser lithotripsy yesterday, June 25. No stent. IT WAS WORTH IT. The pain is the small tube pain I’ve been dealing with this whole month. When I peed, it’s not like I’m peeing knives. I’m not getting the renal colic every time I pee from having the stent. I have NO bladder urgency. I can sleep peacefully without a majority of the pain. I don’t have to wake up to pee 100 times. I don’t even need pain meds from a kidney problem for the first time in my life.

This is life changing. If I ever have to get a stone blasted again, I’m 100% choosing the tube. Is it annoying carrying a pee bag? Sure. Is my life worth living now that I’m not in agonizing pain from a stent? You’re damn right. Don’t let people scare you away from a nephrostomy tube.

Neph tube + waiting over a month for surgery help?

I just got my neph tube placed on 6/2. I was under the assumption that I would be getting the tube and the stone blasting surgery simultaneously. I found out minutes before my surgery, that’s not what was happening. That I had to get the stone blasting surgery by my specific urologist at another time.

I call my urologists office today. They say they can’t get me in until next month. That there is some specific machine that a company needs to bring in. And that they only get it 2 days a month. This month they have it for June 25 & 26. But they said all their appointments are booked up.

I tell her I’m in a lot of pain. And I was told I was only going to have the neph tube for 2 weeks. And then she got really snippy and said “yes, 2 weeks AFTER the stone blasting surgery. That’s why I told you to get the stent.”

We live in a good size city. 400k+ people, 3 major hospitals. And there’s a specific machine that has to be brought in only 2 days a month for this surgery???? When I landed in the ER in September of last year, they said I needed the emergency stone blasting surgery. And within 1 day I got the surgery done. Is that not the same machine??? I’m REALLY confused.

Is this normal? Is there anything I can do? Anyone else I can call? Has anyone had this happen to them?
