Hi!

Help and advice needed! So, I had to remove all of our hvac in our crawlspace because rodents got into it all. It was nasty and overwhelming.

To replace that, we installed a mini-split system that doesn’t use any ductwork which means our floor vents just go directly into the crawlspace.

I’d like to remove the vents and cover over with wood, sealing it right and eventually putting down a vinyl that more or less matches our current vinyl flooring.

Looks to be about an inch and a quarter of plywood, some vinyl and then more plywood. On one side there is a floor joist 2x6 looks like.

Anyways, I’m not sure about the best way to do this, whether I could do it from top side (inside the house) or from the bottom (crawlspace). I have some quality 3/4 inch plywood, Fuze It caulk, even some rigid insulation.

What do you recommend? Do you have any tips?
