It ain't comfortable, safe or pretty, but it did the job

Pulling 80t with a 299hp DAF XD 4x2 with eco shifting mode , it's definitely crying on every slight incline but amazingly it reached 74km/h on the highway. Cruise control helped a lot in maintaining the momentum.

Probably will never do that again though

Has there always been a Citroen 2CV traffic car? I can't seem to remember there's one

Also it's textures seems to be marginally better than the red Volvo next to it (I'm on 1.60 beta BTW)

Bloody Skoda, there's nothing in front of you and you have right of way so get a move on, love!

4X2 DAF NGD 70t special delivery quick job, I'm surprised if a 4x2 is even legal to haul this heavy

PS: I'm not surprised if it could be configured to legally tow this much but I don't know

Surprised by how different these two electric trucks feel despite being made by the same group

With the VNR Electric being added to ATS, I decided to compare it with it's corporate cousin the Renault E-Tech T.

With the two brands both under the same group I initially expected some similarities in the driving experience of the two trucks, and I thought the Renault with it's 666hp motor compared to the 455hp Volvo would be a lot more powerful.

To my surprise the Volvo feels a lot more responsive in acceleration even with the higher speed limits in ATS roads (highest being 75mph compared to the 80km/h in the Renault trip). The Renault feels like it is not willing to accelerate in the 50-70 range.

After the drives I found that the two trucks have very different mechanical design. Despite having less hp, the Volvo surprisingly have more than double torque (5492nm vs 2400nm), they also have very different transmission (Volvo has 2 speeds while the Renault has 12). My guess is that the lower torque of the Renault combined with it's unwillingness to kick down mid gear made it surprisingly sluggish.
